For this workshop, actors have the choice of bringing in their own material or requesting sides from Maria to prepare. Actors can either self-tape their auditions prior to class or to perform their scenes live over Zoom. The class will meet as a group over Zoom to watch tapes and perform scenes for notes; actors will then have the option to take an adjustment live over Zoom or just receive feedback on their work.

Who is this workshop right for?

This workshop is intended for actors who have been auditioning for TV and film and would like to practice their script analysis and character development in a low-stakes environment to gain professional feedback.

How many people will be in each class?

Class size will be limited to 8-10 actors.

How long is each class?

Depending on the number of actors and the length of their scenes, each class will run between 2- 2.5hrs per week.

What type of material will we be working on?

Actors can expect a range of material, from Network TV to streaming and cable, comedy and drama.

Sounds great but how much does it cost?

Drop-in workshops are on a sliding ‘Pay What you Can’ scale; the suggested rate is between $25 - $50. You do not need to justify the rate you choose, simply send the payment that works best for you via Venmo or Zelle.
